Last week in cyber smart we had three options, make an animation to explain what we're doing for inquiry, or make a game to keep your little sibling occupied, I chose to make the game, 

I made a dragon that had to chase a wizard taco around the screen, and when the dragon touched the taco your points would go up. 

I like making games from scratch because it's easy and fun, but sometimes things go wrong like when my dragon just disappeared as soon as you made it go up, or when the taco was zipping around the screen at 0.1 seconds.

Gmos Vs Organic persuasive writing

This week in writing we have been working on a piece of persuasive writing about GMO vs Organic, everyone had to pick either GMO or Organic and write a persuasive writing piece, I chose to be on the side of GMOs, I made a pros and cons list then I toke the pros from GMOs and the cons of organic and put them together to create my argument, and then I just had to write the introduction and conclusion, I like writing persuasive writing, and found this relatively easy. I made this on docs, my Pros and Cons was on padlet.

upstander animation

this week for cybersmart we have been working on an upstander animation, where there are some bullies and then an upstander comes along and helps out the pickles being picked on, ( did I say pickles I meant people.) I like making animations, this animation was made with my friend Annabel, and is not done yet. We made the animation on google slide and the characters were found on google. Have you made an animation like this before? ( not exactly like this, like made on slides or about being an upstander)   

Food Spoilage Doc

This week we have been in lockdown, my hub have been learning about Enzymes, and why food rots. We had some must do task like an apple rotting experiment, and to research more about food spoilage, I only started this on thursday so it's not finished, Did you know that you need spoiled milk to make cheese?

This week we have been in lockdown, my hub have been learning about Enzymes, and why food rots. 

we had to cut an apple into four pieces and put one piece per cup, each cup was filled with ether vinegar, lemon juice or salt water, the last one just empty, then over the course of the week we take photos of the apple pieces, then we have to fill out the slide, so far my salt apple and nothing apples have gotten softer, the lemon apple is the same and the vinegar apple is browner. 

My brother ate his on the first day he did it, he says that the lemon apple is disgusting.

Tinirau and the Whale

On tuesday we entered level 4 lockdown, but we have continued to do are learning, during this week in and out of lockdown I have been working on a biteable video, it's about the story of Tinarua and his whale, we had to explain the story and why what Kae did was greedy and selfish. Amazing Aladdin slides.

This year we are doing a production, Aladdin Jr, and when you aren't practicing your singing, dancing, or  acting, you are working on a set of slides the teachers have set you, I have built a minecraft palace, and I am making a site about Egypt, and I made a Pixel art on Jasmine and Rajah, but I haven't figured out how to put the pixel art and minecraft palace on to my slides, and I am still working on the Egypt site so you can't view that yet. Making my minecraft palace toke a long time, and I need to do lots of research on Egypt. Have you made a palace in Minecraft? Try to make an Aladdin palace.

Wonderful Wolves

This week in writing literacy we starred writing informational reports,  
I chose to make mine on wolves. 
I have only finished the introduction and first paragraph on the habitat. 

I have to do lots of research, and make sure my facts are true, 

I chose wolves because  they are my favorite animal, they have amazing stamina ( un-like me) and are really social animals that depend on each other to hunt and take care of the pups.

This week in Literacy we had a book to read, then we had task's to do about the book like answering questions, 

here are the questions: 

1. What was Jacob doing when Ah Sum arrived?

Helping his mother, 

2. Why did William scoff at Jacob’s remark?

Because he didn't think it was true, 

3. Why was Jacob angry at Ah Sum?

For coming when william was outside, 

4. How do the pictures help you to understand better?

They give me a clear image of what's happening, 

5. What is the main idea from story?

6. On Page 11 What does the sentence “He’d probably sell his own mother for a half penny” mean?

He'd do anything to get money 

Making this was fun, next time I think I'll try to make a piskel, that storyboard is not as clear as I wish it was, if I do this again I will make it more complete.

I made this slide last term, it's about what we learnt in Inquiry,  we learnt how to be the best version of yourself, some people made slides ( like me ) others made sites, here is the slide.

Hi, my name is Matilda, I am 9 almost 10, I have a twin brother Thor, and a little brother Magnus, they are both annoying, 
I play touch rugby, and I like to swim. 
I like horses and dogs but I have no pets, but when I was 2 to 4  I had turtles, we named them clap clap and coral, we called them that because my brother Thor was clapping when we were asked what to call them, and I was rambling on about why fish live in coral reefs. my teacher is mrs Kerin, in year 5
